We are currently seeking an IT Solution Delivery Director to join our team. In this role, you will lead engagement with the Advanced Quantitative Science (AQS) organization and partner to identify technology needs across various areas. Your responsibilities will include defining the roadmap and delivering future capabilities for the statistical compute environment (SCE) to meet the organization's requirements. As the accountable party for SCE capability delivery, you will collaborate with delivery leads, vendors, and DDIT program teams to enable the roadmap, streamline legacy systems, and establish a sustainable DevOps model for the future. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to quality standards and provide IT consulting to stakeholders, educating them on processes and driving global solutions adoption. - Effective engagement and operating models along with stakeholder maps
- Technology solutions and roadmap recommendations provided in line with Development and DD&IT Technology Strategy
JOB DIMENSION
- Complexity: High complexity including cross functional business systems that are critical to quality. Very high level of cross functional dependencies requiring senior stakeholder alignment and influence of solution definition and roadmaps beyond vertical.
- Influence: Manages global stakeholders across Development. Expected to orchestrate and drive engagement across all organizations and processes of DD&IT Operating Model. Direct impact on Novartis’ ability to design and execute clinical development plans and trials.
IDEAL BACKGROUND
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering or information technology discipline. An advanced degree and related accreditations a plus.
- Proven track record of broad industry experience and excellent understanding of complex enterprise IT landscapes and relationships.
- Advises peers and senior parties on complex issues, provides complex, contextual advice to influence the management of IT Services, applications, and systems across business domains4.
Experience / Professional requirements
- 12+ years in business partnering and delivering IT solutions in the pharma industry
- 5+ years working with Clinical Data and Data science / Analytics platforms; Experience with end-to-end Development processes and IT landscape and technologies across functional areas through the drug development continuum is critical to success in role
- Strong knowledge of data science platforms and ability to bring together expertise and provide respected technical and professional guidance to external and/or internal stakeholders.
- Interacts with a diverse internal and external audience and is required to interpret and communicate complex information
- Solid Program management and oversight experience
- 5+years Ability and experience exploring technology capabilities, industry disruptors and solutions to propose roadmaps
- Ability to engage with senior and diverse stakeholders, connecting the dots and influencing roadmaps
- Experience working across matrixed functional and IT teams and leading by influence to enable technical capability
- Experience in leading cross functional teams
LANGUAGES
- Business fluent in English (written and spoken)
